East Valley Women’s League: Anything Is Possible Scholarship

East Valley Women’s League believes that continuing education is the key to success for all students. The EVWL Scholarship Committee is looking for two female students who exhibit service to the community, participation in extracurricular activities, demonstrate financial need and are in the academic middle (preference given to those with a GPA between 2.8-3.5).

Two scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $5,000 each for the 2020-2021 academic year. To complete this application, please provide a copy of your transcripts, your FAFSA document, two (2) letters of recommendation, any relevant extracurricular activities/community service, offices, or positions held, and work experience.

Application deadline is February 23rd, 2020 at 11:59pm.

Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation Scholarship

This was East Valley Women’s League’s first scholarship. It is a perfect fit for our mission statement, “Helping women and children to lead more promising lives.” This scholarship is awarded to single mothers of any age. They may be young mothers with young children or mothers with grown children going back to school. The recipients are required to be full time students (minimum of 12 credit hours), attend one of the Maricopa Community Colleges, maintain a 2.8 GPA and show financial need.  For 2020-2021 we will award two $2,500 scholarships.

Application submission is from February 1st – March 15th, 2020 at 11:59pm.

Emily Rosamond Bauer Scholarship Fund

The Emily Rosamond Bauer Scholarship is a gift from the family and friends of Emily Rosamond Bauer. EVWL contributes $2,000 annually toward this scholarship.  This award is disbursed through the ASU Foundation for a New American University in recognition of Emily, the daughter of a member who was tragically taken too early.

New American University Scholarship Endowment

In 2013 East Valley Women’s League, in partnership with the ASU Foundation, established a $75,000 New American University Scholarship Endowment.  This endowment allows us to award Arizona students funds to attend college at Arizona State University for years to come. This merit scholarship is for full time students who demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to Arizona residents.
