Hi, my name is Yoselin Flor Aguilar. I am a first-generation Hispanic woman who is attending Arizona State University. I received my bachelor’s degree this past May 2024 in Criminology and Criminal Justice, my honors certificate, and currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in Crime Analysis. I am in the process of being hired as an intern with the Mesa Police Department as a Crime Analyst. I am eager to see what the future holds for me. The East Valley Women’s League has played a critical role in my success. They were the first to believe in my potential. They provided financial aid to help me begin my journey as a first-generation college student. Still, most importantly they showed genuine care for my success and well-being throughout my college years. I will always be immensely grateful.

Hello, my name is Araly Luna Erives. I am a first generation high school graduate and now I have moved forward to attend college at NAU. I am determined to make my foot into the medical industry and help women all over the world. I am a family oriented person who loves to be surrounded with smiles and laughs. I was raised by strong independent women which I am thankful for making me who I am today. I am in my first year of college. It has been a very big adjustment especially being away from home. But I am determined to become a labor and delivery nurse by the end of my college career. I am first finishing up my pre-requisites that university requires, then I plan to apply for the nursing program in spring of my sophomore year to keep me on track to graduate in 4 years. EVWL has meant so much to me because of the Anything is Possible scholarship I was able to continue my schooling and I have now put my goals in motion to become a reality. Without the big help financially I would have not seen myself being able to afford the university of my choice. I also am very thankful for the wonderful ladies who not only run this organization but who reach out and congratulate me on my progress. They are truly in my corner waiting to see me succeed.
